From the first page to the last
How to calculate pages per day
Subtract the pages you’ve already read from the book’s total, then divide the pages remaining by your available reading dates. Count both the start date and deadline. If you exclude weekends or choose only a few weekdays, those are your reading days; the target is per reading session, rather than per calendar day.
This reading schedule calculator turns that average into whole-page sessions. When the pages don’t divide evenly, the first sessions get one extra page. Every range follows the previous one and the final range ends at the last page of your book. If there are fewer pages than available dates, you’ll read one page per session and finish early.
Use the plan to check whether a deadline feels realistic. If the target is too much, try a later finish date or another available weekday. For help making space for the sessions, read our guide to building a reading habit. A minimum viable habit can help you return on difficult days, but you’ll still need to recalculate the book schedule when your progress changes.
Three books. Three ways to plan.
pages per session
A 300-page book over 30 daily sessions: 300 ÷ 30 = 10. Start at pages 1–10 and finish at 291–300.
pages on your reading days
With 270 pages remaining and nine selected reading dates: 270 ÷ 9 = 30. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from September 21 to October 11, 2026 finish on October 9.

100 pages over three sessions: read 34, then 33, then 33. The ranges are 1–34, 35–67, and 68–100.
A few practical questions
Can I exclude weekends?
Yes. Uncheck Saturday and Sunday, or choose any combination of reading weekdays. Only matching dates in your window receive pages. Keep at least one weekday selected.
What if I have already started the book?
Enter the last page you’ve finished in “Pages already read.” The plan starts on the next page. If you’ve finished the total page count, there’s nothing left to schedule.
What if I miss a reading session?
Enter your updated completed-page count and a new start date, then recalculate against your deadline. The remaining pages are redistributed. This website doesn’t remember your plan or monitor your progress.
Can I print the schedule?
Yes. Calculate your plan, then select “Print reading plan.” Your printable reading schedule includes every session, even those you haven’t expanded on screen. Use your browser’s print dialog to choose a printer or save as PDF.
How are reading minutes estimated?
Enter your own pace in pages per minute. Each session’s pages are divided by that pace and rounded up to a whole minute. The overall estimate uses the unrounded total, so it may differ from the sum of the displayed session minutes. Difficulty, breaks, and page layout can change your actual time.
